We are delighted to share that Home-Start Arun, Worthing & Adur has been awarded £8,500 from the Innes Fund through Sussex Community Foundation.
This generous grant will make a vital contribution towards our core running costs, helping us continue to provide intensive, relationship-based support for local families with babies and young children. Our volunteer-led service offers one-to-one support in the home, over the phone and in the community, alongside four weekly Family Groups, giving parents a safe, trusted space to build confidence, resilience and connection.
At a time when demand for our support continues to grow, this funding will help us sustain the essential foundations of our work: recruiting, training and supervising volunteers, safeguarding families, working closely with local partners and ensuring safe, consistent support reaches those who need it most.
Families come to us when they are facing challenges such as poverty, isolation, domestic abuse, SEND, poor mental health or the pressures of the cost-of-living crisis. With the right support at the right time, parents can feel more able to cope, children can grow up in safer and more stable environments, and families can become better connected to the help available in their community.
We are extremely grateful to the Innes Fund and Sussex Community Foundation for recognising the importance of early, preventative support for families. Their generosity will make a real difference to the babies, young children and parents we support across Arun, Worthing and Adur.
