We took to the water for 10,000 children and raised over £11,500!
The Dragon Boat Race is one of the most-loved events in the Arundel Festival of the Arts – a high-energy, laughter-filled day on the River Arun.
This year, we were delighted to be take part with two boats, each with a team of 11 rowers. One team was made up of our staff, trustees, volunteers and supporters, while the other was a fantastic team from Arundel Lawn Tennis Club. Despite horrendous weather conditions and the event being cut short, between them, the teams raised over £10,500!
And this year’s race was extra special for us. We are celebrating reaching an incredible milestone – supporting our 10,000th child since Home-Start Arun, Worthing & Adur began!
We are incredibly grateful to Arundel Post Office and Our Lady of Sion School, Worthing for sponsoring the costs of our boats at the event!
